TN: 2014 Domaine G. Roumier / Christophe Roumier Chambolle-Musigny

  • 2014 Domaine G. Roumier / Christophe Roumier Chambolle-Musigny - France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny (11/22/2016)
Roumier’s Chambolle is to wine what Hemingway was to literature. There’s no artifice, not an element is wasted or there without reason. It is direct and of the highest quality. This '14 has a stony base on which pretty cherry fruit plays. There are root vegetable and rhubarb notes connecting the drinker directly to the earth. It is savoury, minerally, balanced and utterly delicious.

pretty note…by far my favorite village Burg…too bad I can’t find it these days under $100

I think you meant Roummier is to wine what Hemmingway was to literature.

Bad stutter.

I suppose there may have been a problem in the Australian translation.

was there grunt? This bottling is getting too costly for me but certainly rewards aging.

One wishes this were an under the radar producer, at average pricing for Chambolle village, which is what, about $60+ now? Mugnier, Vogue, and Roumier are all $100+ and Dujac is pushing $100.
