My love for Las Madres Syrah is no secret. Tasted this 4 months ago soon after bottling but everything was hiding behind a dose of sulphur and it needed a little time to come into its own. Robin has a real nice wine here that is approachable right now, doesn’t hurt the wallet and, best of all, is still available! Great near term drinking.

This was ready to go right out of the chute. Meaty, smoky, juicy, savory. All the components melded together nicely from the outset. After a couple days the freshness of the fruit back off and a green olive note developed bringing even more appeal and complexity. It delivers from the nose to the finish with something for everyone. Nice effort that doesn’t need to be hid in the back of the cellar.
