TN: 2013 Weingut Willi Bründlmayer Riesling Alte Reben Zöbinger Heiligenstein

2013 Weingut Willi Bründlmayer Riesling Alte Reben Zöbinger Heiligenstein - Austria, Niederösterreich, Kamptal (5/21/2016)
Crunchy and spicy, this is monumental in its breadth and depth. I first tasted this wine a year ago, and was blown away. Now a year later, with the chance to follow the wine over the course of an evening I am just as impressed. The depth is key, as it bodes well for a long evolution.

I’ve got a few of these-- wish I had bought more! thanks for the note

All I could get was a 6 pack. Very tightly allocated.

I still haven’t tasted, not even sure if I bought any. The “regular” Heiligenstein was already sensational, and the Lyra even better. Alte Reben might just kill me

I agree - a wine definitely to buy every year, great expression of Riesling just outside of the Wachau.

I think Brundlmayer’s '13s are some of the best Austrian wines I’ve had. I don’t remember tasting this bottling (which makes sense if it’s that tightly allocated), but the Lyra has been mindblowing every one of the three times I’ve had it.
