2013 Vincent Chardonnay- USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Eola - Amity Hills (11/30/2014)
Light straw yellow, wet straw nose with a little citrus. Not quite dry, but very fresh with tartness balancing the residual sugar. Nice fruit, I get some straw notes along with melon and mineral, a little tartness on the finish. This is a lovely wine, my wife may have become a convert from Pinot Gris. (91 pts.)
My (wife’s) second bottle:
12/10/2014 - I LIKE THIS WINE: 93 Points
Straw lemon hue, citrus with banana notes. Bone dry with tart fruit, kiwi. Nice tart clean finish, very good and refreshing. This is subtle and so damn good I could give up drinking reds and join my wife drinking this Chard, but I think I raised the bar over Pinot Gris about double.
