TN: 2013 Textbook Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley

Starts off a little simple but it blossoms with 30 minutes in the glass. This is a medium-bodied cab with red-leaning fruit and good acidity. The nose is a bit compact and the finish is short, but this is otherwise a good buy for around $26. I’d drink it sooner rather than later, though, as it loses steam with extended aeration.

I like the label’s texture. How have prior vintages aged?

It’s a classy looking label.

I have no idea how other vintages have aged, as this is my first time with one of their cabs. According to CT, their cabs go back to 2004, so hopefully someone can weigh in on that.
