TN: 2013 Skouras Moschofilero Moscofilero (Greece, Peloponnisos)

So I have decided to start keeping tasting notes of wines other than Burgundy. While on Celllartracker I noticed that 95% of my notes are on Burgundy. I know I drink other wines so I am making an effort to keep notes on these. I don’t only drink Burgundy although I do enjoy it the most. I thought I would share ones that I thought were interesting.

Very nice floral aromas reminiscent of Muscat. Almost gewurtz like. Rose, daisy, and other flower notes. Nice flavours on taste in balance with the acidity with good intensity. Light to medium body. Medium length finish. Very interesting wine and a steal at 11 bucks.

I would imagine living on the eastern seaboard you might have a great selection of Greek wines! Here in AB less choice but some very nice whites to choose from.

I wouldn’t say a great selection - but a few dozen different ones. in the local shops. Mostly Santorini wines which I like but often have too much alcohol. I like to explore some different types and these are one of the few from the mainland.

We bought several cases of this from the winery for our wedding on the Mani Peninsula. My favorite Peloponnesian wine.
