2013 Schäfer-Fröhlich Bockenauer Felseneck Riesling Spätlese - Germany, Nahe (7/7/2016)
Nice nose of green apple, peach, citrus, and a little pineapple with a hint of slate. Tart green apple, lemon, a little peach and pear, and a touch of honey on the palate. Very fruity with enough acidity & minerality to make it juicy and refreshing. There’s enough sweetness to accentuate the fruit without being sugary. Good stuff! The last of a 4 pack. It won’t replace Prüm as our house Riesling since it’s more expensive than the Graacher Himmelreich my wife & I enjoy, but we certainly won’t turn it down. (90 pts.)
