Following a sunset paddleboard session with friends, I pulled this wine, among others, to go with takeout pizza. After a quick decant, there was a generous nose of ripe dark fruit, fresh ground black pepper, grilled beef and some smoke. Medium weight and lively on the palate, with dusty fruit, black pepper and an enticing silky palate. A wine for syrah lovers; would love to get my hands on more.
