TN: 2013 La Rioja Alta Rioja Viña Alberdi Reserva

  • 2013 La Rioja Alta Rioja Viña Alberdi Reserva - Spain, La Rioja, La Rioja Alta, Rioja (4/28/2020)
Day 1: Nice featuring wood, mild dill, raspberries, blueberries, spice and floral notes. Balanced and nice acidity. A real winner for under $20.00. 92 points
Day 2: Really has maintained the day 1 profile. This wine will easily age through 2030. 92 points
Day 3: A bit more dill. Wood, raspberries, floral and spices. Solid but prefer this wine on day 1 or 2. 90 points
Recommendation: Drink on day 1 or 2 or hold for five plus years. (92 pts.)

John, have you had the 2010 Seleccion Especial? If so, any thoughts on that one?

Loved the 09. In my opinion no one does better at all prices in Spain than La Rioja Alta! [cheers.gif]

Drinking the 2015 Viña Alberdi right now. Similar notes to what you posted for the 2013. Just a fantastic value! Will definitely be buying more.

If you are referring to Vina Ardanaza, it is awesome.

never had a bad one. Amazing at the quality to price ratio on all of the La Rioja wines!
