TN: 2013 Bedrock Wine Co. Oakville Farmhouse Heritage

Pop and pour although in retrospect you could decant this for 1-2 hours.

Jet black in color. 14.5% ABV. Sublime nose of red and black fruits, mint, anise and pepper. Full bodied with mouth watering acidity. Dark fruited and made in a Claret style. So clearly a field blend as no particular variety jumps out of the glass. Black cherry, citrus, charcoal and black pepper on the palate. Tremendous length on the finish with gritty tannins. My first time trying this wine and it is hard not to be intrigued. It feels like 6-8 years from release is the right time to start drinking these.

My rating: 92 points.

Apparently Negrette, at 22%, is the variety with largest representation in this wine.
