TN: 2012 Matello Richard's Chardonnay

The 2nd bottle from a WB Day purchase. Paired with a quiche made from chanterelle’s foraged earlier in the day.

This has matured into a world class chardonnay. Rich with great texture and integrated oak. Wish I had more than 1 bottle left. Wonder if it will plateau into a higher
level? Reminded me of an aged Leeuwin Art Series chardonnay.

I don’t have much experience with these Chards before the ‘12 vintage, but knowing Marcus’ style, I would bet on more upside. Have 2 bottles of this and need to open one soon.

Agreed. This one pretty much blew me away in the tasting room and was an immediate buy. Need to drink one soon.
