  • 2012 Domaine Fourrier Morey St. Denis Clos Solon Vieille Vigne - France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Morey St. Denis (3/28/2021)
    This showed very well and is pretty much everything I am looking for in a village Burgundy. It leads with round ripe red fruit complemented by brambly notes with a distinctively Morey character (reminiscent of Bonnes Mares). its finish is long and spicy and its mouthfeel satisfying. Was a steal back in the day to boot. (93 pts.)

At least in the States. Unfortunately, price has nearly doubled, but I found it a very impressive bottling. I’m glad that I have a couple more:)

I have this vintage in the cellar and it is indeed excellent… but this is the last year I have been to buy at en primeur price. I do not buy at silly secondary prices… very rarely … Love them all and although I bought probably a few boot load, I realise there is no limit to how many Fourrier you need…
