2012 Domaine De La Chapelle Des Bois Fleurie “Grand Pre” - France, Burgundy, Beaujolais, Fleurie (12/31/2015)
So much win here.P&P. Starts off with a pretty good blast ripe strawberry fruit, while forward in nature, it was silky and just deliciously uncomplicated. Ok, so we have a nice forward Beaujo on a cold winter night, perfect. About an hour in, things turned a bit more serious, as a growing tannic structure began to emerge as did a descent into the Fleurie soil. About 90 minutes in this was off and running, fruit, earth, and tannin all working in unison. Should develope nicely over the next few years I’d reckon. At $22, marvolous. (91 pts.)
