I’ve been having real good luck this year with California Rosé wines. Is it trend toward making more interesting wines or was it just a great year for it in 2011? Either way it’s been a fun journey so far.

2011 Williams Selyem Pinot Noir Vin Gris of Pinot Noir Russian River Valley - USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley (4/23/2012)
Served chilled. Pale pink color, nose of watermelon, citrus and a dash of cinnamon. Palate is crisp and fresh offering lemon, watermelon and cherry. Bright acidity frames the lingering finish nicely. Got a thumbs up from everyone at the table.
