TN: 2011 Williams Selyem Pinot Noir Vin Gris of Pinot Noir Russian River Valley

I’ve been having real good luck this year with California Rosé wines. Is it trend toward making more interesting blush wines or was it just a great year for it in 2011? Either way it’s been a fun journey so far.

Served chilled. Pale pink color, nose of watermelon, citrus and a dash of cinnamon. Palate is crisp and fresh offering lemon, watermelon and cherry. Bright acidity frames the lingering finish nicely. Got a thumbs up from everyone at the table.
