    From magnum, this was enjoyable sipping in its way, but the limitations of the ripe, low acid vintage prevent it from reaching any level of interesting. No fault of the winemaker, 2011 is just the least interesting vintage of the last 20+ years. I suspect wines like these will age a very long time, but always be serviceable at best.

The 2011 Schaefer GD Kabinett #16 (screwcap) I had last month was very good, maybe one of the best teenage Kabi’s I’ve had in my very limited experience. Would love to find more!
