2011 Big Table Farm Pinot Noir Willamette Valley - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley (10/21/2013)
Vivid violet-ruby color. Nice, fresh nose of cranberry, raspberry, licorice, anise, newly-cut flowers. Buoyant but nicely disciplined raspberry fruit on the palate with a fair amount of peppery complexity for such a young wine. Lots of acidity to keep things fresh, and tamed tannins even at this early stage. Longer, very harmonious finish. Quite impressive, particularly for the price. Look forward to seeing how this bottle ages. (90 pts.)
