Couldn’t resist. I dropped off the list last year, but came back on recently. Received my half yearly shipment today and had to open one.

2010 Windy Oaks Estate Pinot Noir Wild Yeast - USA, California, San Francisco Bay, Santa Cruz Mountains (10/31/2013)
Pop-n-pour Halloween wine. Poured off half into a halfbottle for Day 2 drinking. Light’ish red in color. Bright cherry, and mid weight red fruit aromas. A pastille quality. The sweet oak influence in this bottle is much less pronounced than in the past bottlings. A slight hint of meat. In the mouth there is the suaveness to Windy Oaks wines I’ve come to expect, with plenty of acids. Some sweet oak shows through, with refined tannins, and a rounded finish. To nitpick the finish is a tad bit warm, but overall this is good bottling from WO.
