2010 Brick House Pinot Noir Boulder Block - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Ribbon Ridge (8/20/2015)
On the nose there is seemingly sappy red fruit, in the vein of cherries and ripe raspberries, along with fresh tilled moist soil. Its vibrant nose belies its light color and 13% alcohol. On the palate any thought of sap ends as a bright, acidic, savory wine unfolds. More cherries surface, along with grapefruit, dirt, bitter melon, herbs. This is extremely elegant and transparent and aromatic stuff. One of the better expressions of Oregon terrior I’ve had. Finish is very long.
