TN: 2009 Robert Mondavi Napa Valley Chardonnay

I don’t know what possessed me to by this given the lofty £13.99 price tag but it reminds me of a Muscat style with a bit of oomph and raucous vivacity. It’s a juicy wine, fresh and easy drinking but at 14.5%vol it will also get you pie-eyed and also oh so easy to polish off. Lacks any charm or class but highly drinkable at the same time. 83pts

One of the more positive reviews of a 83-point wine that “Lacks any charm or class” that I can remember! [cheers.gif]

83pts for superior quaffability, not price
