2009 Regan Cabernet Sauvignon Rockledge Vineyard - USA, California, Napa Valley, St. Helena (10/12/2012)
Big bright fruit nose at first but it quiets down within minutes. Then there shows some sweet black cherry, cola & kirsch. Palate shows and big chewy Tannins I usually associate with Rockledge vineyard from past vintages/other labels; They are big, angular and always true to their namesake and well in control of all else. A streak of dryness crosses right across this one right now. Needs to resolve…you think? I get some sweet cassis, black cherries, framboise and hints of cardamom. A pretty wine thats story is yet to be told. Glad I have a few more to watch, although 4 years minimum are in order. (91 pts.)
