TN: 2009 Louis Jadot Beaune 1er Cru 150th Anniversary

2009 Louis Jadot Beaune 1er Cru 150th Anniversary - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Beaune 1er Cru (6/30/2017)
No doubt it was much too soon to open this wine, especially from magnum, but we were 11 people, and the sweetbreads course begged for a Burgundy. It was certainly tight, with only a very little development. That being said, it had moved away from it’s California-esque over the top fruity beginnings, and actually resembled a Burgundy. It did do very well with the food.

No reason to open a bottle, or especially a magnum of this for many more years (10?), but it’s good to see it being more of what it’s supposed to be.

Thanks for the note. I bought a case and will plan to hold, even though I’m tempted to try a bottle every time I open my Vinotheque.
