2009 La Pousse d'Or Volnay 1er Cru Clos d'Audignac - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Volnay 1er Cru (4/5/2026)
Popped and poured at cellar temp. Dark violet color, no signs of any age. Violets, black cherry and sandalwood on a lovely expressive nose. Nice sour black cherry on the attack with a pronounced spine of minerality in the mid palate and acid filled finish. Sense that the wine is still a bit closed and young and has another gear and will add complexity with some more time in the bottle. Will wait another 4-5 years to open another one.
