2009 J.I. Etxeberria Getariako Txakolina Bengoetxe #4 - Spain, País Vasco, Getariako Txakolina (8/11/2011)
Pale yellow gold. Tiny beads of bubbles from the whisper of effervesence in this wine. Exceptional aromatics. Lime with orange zest and a hint of fennel. One can bury their nose in this one. Layered complex mid palate in a bit of conflict with itself as it offers both tart grapefruit along with saline minerality. Precise and nervous this offers a refreshing yet racy mouthfeel and delivers some interesting, lingering fruit and minerality on the finish that dances a bit and eludes descirptors. Delicious and satisfying on a beautiful summer night.
I do think this is a step up from the #3 bottling.
