2009 Domaine du Chalet Pouilly St. Véran - France, Burgundy, Mâconnais, St. Véran (1/11/2011)
Golden color. Very clean on the nose with mostly apple and pear coming through, and a touch of white flower. The orchard fruit and white peach flavors are, for lack of a better word, downright delicious, and stay persistent from start to finish. There’s surprising weight on the mid palate matched by good acid levels. An absolute steal of a wine and hopefully an indication of things to come from '09 Chardonnay in Burgundy. (90 pts.)
