2009 Dom Perignon Champagne - France, Champagne (11/9/2017)
Immediately generous with notes of brioche, orchard fruits, toast and aniseed. It is full, fluffy and rich in the mouth, with delicious fruit and plenty of patisserie things going on. There’s the usual tiny bubbles and creamy mousse and a length of flavour that is deceptively long.

Last night I had a bottle of it for the first time. While it was very good and got better as the evening wore on, I was looking for the DP roundness that seemed to be missing. It’s obviously very young, but approachable, and it will become more “DP-like” with a couple of more years in bottle.
Thank you both for the input. I`m looking forward to my first bottle soon.
