Fabulous. Very memorable. Love the lower alcohol, great lemon notes, citrus. Nice accent of oak. Definitely a list I will stay on. This is up there with one of the best chards of the year for me. (93 pts.)

Music to my ear Rich! Great note. [cheers.gif]

Rich - are these built to age? I still have have not opened an '07 so I’m wondering if these are likely to improve with age.

I do think they are built to age but I doubt mine will last. My guess is a 5 year rest would treat it well. I have a theory on whites and aging. If I like it young, why not drink it young.

Rich,

I agree.

Russ,

Similar discussion in my earlier thread, link below. I think the short and sweet is that it will age well, but that it is so delicious right now, you might as well drink one now and keep one for later.

I opened one of these this weekend as well. Lemon/citrus was the predominate profile for me, and I agree with the wonderful use of a touch of oak. As for the aging question, I think it should do nicely over the next few years, and I would personally would like to see the acid integrate a bit more during that time since it was a bit bracing to me at times. But still, damn tasty to drink now. I’m glad I got to buy an extra bottle at cost from someone; one down, two to go.
