opened and started drinking about a half hour after opening. immediately out of the glass roses and violets, and on the palate cherry with nice acidity. for about the first hour i also got a meaty flavor on the finish. with a little bit of time (about an hour) you could start to sense a little tar on the nose with just predominant cherry on the palate. the wine shut down at about the 3 hour mark. overall a good wine, easy drinking, and for the price a great value.
