2008 Pascal Bellier Cheverny - France, Loire Valley, Upper Loire, Cheverny (7/27/2009)
Bottles been open now for about 24 hours. I had a quick taste yesterday shortly after opening but I found it too cold/tight to properly consider. So on night two, this is pretty amazing stuff for low teens cost wise, heck nice juice either way. Nose is gooseberry, herbs, grapefruit rind, a little baked apple and crushed rock. The palate is extremely crisp and lively but with a nice richness to it that lingers on the tongue. Slight nuttiness/honey with eureka lemons, grapefruit and a little bit of baking spice on the back end. Lingers with a slightly oil quality…terrific wine and I will purchase again. 90+/100 (90 pts.)
