What can I say, really good stuff. Lots of fruit, tropical and otherwise and dry. Has decent acidity and can be matched up nicely with food.
It starts out with a bit of a spritz so be patient.
Todd, if people get on board with my find I will give you credit for the Treana, otherwise mum’s the word and I will take all the credit. [gheyfight.gif]
I moved it to WT - when I can finally get to WT posts tonight, I’ll see if there is a repeat.
Unfortunately, Otto, Treana IS mine to claim, and Melville Viognier has been a longtime favorite go-to quaffer to many Socal folks for years - several TN’s already are posted about various vintages of it.
You best get back to the drawing board and find something you CAN call you own, bud.
Ok, let’s say that the wine finally got some legit review.
More serious, the one wine that I can really legit claim to the wine discovery is the 01 Worthy which I scored 93 and then few months later JL awarded it a 93 too. But that was 5 years ago.
As far as all of you guys who got it before me, of course I owe you a very big thanks you and [1928_middle_finger.gif]
C’mon Otto, Melville Viogniers have been getting good ratings for several years. The Verna’s pulled a 93 from Parker last year! I have been buying these since the '04 vintage. Unfortunately the alcohol levels are off the charts and will kick you in the head if you use this wine as a “starter” for a nice wine evening.
