    If the acidity tones down I could really like this. Faint hints of some earth/rocks and dark cherry. There is some depth to the berry flavors, but is out weighted by sharp/tangy acidity, too much for me to enjoy at this stage. Regardless this there is real quality here for the level and some clear upside with some bottle time. (86 pts.)

Don’t remember trying any Bourgogne level 08s and I can certainly imagine how some might be just a little too shrill, thin and/or weedy…more likely to show some less flattering attributes of the vintage. Looking forward to the 09s along with that vintages “lesser” commune offerings.

I love acidity as well, it just gets me when its not in balance. if its the donimant feature, doesn’t work so well for me. There is enough fruit that I could see bottle time pushing this into a range I’d enjoy more.

How much and what kind of aeration did the wine get?

Ive found 2008s in particular need lots of air to wake up.

It wasn’t the acidity that bothered me with this bottle, it was that it came off as too California-like to me. Too polished, ripe and candy-sweet.
