TN: 2008 Delamotte Champagne Blanc de Blancs Millésimé (France, Champagne)

  • 2008 Delamotte Champagne Blanc de Blancs Millésimé - France, Champagne (6/21/2020)
Fresh and bursting with energy right out of the gate! Brilliant yellow crystaline orchard fruits, the slightest tropical nuance, with a tart snap…lemon sour, snappy citrus acidity…more of an elegancy of ginger bubbles…pillow soft pastry dough mousse…vanilla shortbread sprinkled with sea salt gives a nice savory minerality…white flower florals…really well balanced now…finishes refreshingly tart and chalky ala a great white burgundy. Don’t know if it’s all mental…but I taste Salon…on the cheap! I need LOTS of this one in the cellar! (95 pts.)

95 on that note and your recent roll . . .

So…you can tell I’m off of work this weekend? [drinkers.gif]

and I’m on call . . . living vicariously.

Well…Happy Father’s Day Doc! I’m sure you’ll do some catching up with top shelf stuff when you’re off! champagne.gif

I have had the 2008 twice and it is a fabulous wine. The 2012 is at least just as good.
