I’ve seen CB at a number of stores fairly recently in NYC for between $15-$20 – a big drop from its former $25-30 range. Bought a bottle because I hadn’t tried it for many years, but haven’t opened it yet.
Yeah, it used to be highly allocated at about $19/btl. Now, there is a modest 5 case discount for about $16/btl. Every glorified cashier in NY, helping keep wine out of supermarkets, can floor stack it next to yellowtail and santa margherita.
