2008 Carlisle Zinfandel Carlisle Vineyard - USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley (3/25/2011)
Great rich nose with blackberry, blueberry, caramel, dark maple syrup, and some orange peel. Lighter fruits initially reveal a dark powerful core, with spice, forest, pepper. touch of oak, but light on it’s feet with ample acidity. Good balance, only a slight touch of heat on the finish. Another “winning” wine from Charlie sheen’s favorite winery, Carlisle! (91 pts.)
