Very light and translucent to the eye, which had me a little concerned, but the intensity of the flavor was very much there. This is a bit in the high-pitched, slightly herbal funky camp (not a defect at all to me, and certainly not indicating any problem in the wine), while preserving some very nice varietal notes. I happen to be addicted to both the distinct Pinot varietal flavor and the wonderful secondary/terciary flavors that so many have - this wine highlighted more of the latter than the former, and that was a nice change from a lot of what I’ve been having lately. Interesting wine. I would be very interested to hear what others think about it. Score: 90.
I’ve only had this wine twice. One time (shortly after bottling) it didn’t show well, but the second time a couple of months later (at IPNC), it was excellent. This is a vintage that seems to need time, although Doug’s Evelyn’s bottling is gorgeous right now. I hadn’t planned on opening any of Brick House 2008s for at least a couple of years - probably longer.

Both the light color and the “high-pitched, slightly herbal funky” thing are probably the signatures of the stem inclusion - not abnormal.
