A customer of mine gave me a mixed case of wine a couple months ago that he had stored in his garage in Kenwood and this was one of them. With zero expectations I popped and poured and found something still alive. Color was on point. Nose of candied lychee and stone fruit. Very sweet with a little bitter grapefruit pith on the backside. I opened it as a joke but the joke was on me as it was actually presentable. Fun thing about wine is sometimes you just don’t know.

Well, Brian… sometimes you win one. Interesting that it still had some life. I expect it had some RS which is probably what saved it.
