    A rare mailing-list wine that actually matches its reputation. Textbook SCM cab with cassis, blackberry and graphite. Shows intense, ripe fruit and some serious tannic structure, but the tannins are exceptionally ripe and fine grained. A touch of oak adds texture without mucking about with the nose or palate. There’s a bit of green bean here, but it doesn’t stick out and is consistent with what I’ve tasted in other young cabs from SCM. Screaming QPR. (91 pts.)
