2007 Rudi Pichler Riesling Smaragd Achleiten - Austria, Niederösterreich, Wachau (3/31/2010)
Opened at cellar temp with no decant and drank over three nights. Nose of kumquat, green apple and limestone; more floral as it warmed, turning to honeysuckle at room temperature. Full body with bracing but balanced acidity and flavors of white grapefruit and Braeburn apple. Dry through the medium-long finish. I tend to prefer German Rieslings but liked this a lot.
