  • 2007 Roger Sabon Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Prestige - France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape (1/25/2013)
    Really dark, and slightly chewy. Silky going down. Some spice. Drank at Peking Duck House, and the following day with pasta and red sauce. This was still running full speed on Day 2. This has a nice long life ahead of it. A very special wine for the $53 I paid. Wish I had more. (93 pts.)

I’m happy to have three bottles of this. I ordered them after a 2007 Rhone tasting in April 2010 at the Charlotte Wine and Food weekend. This was my second favorite of about ten wines we tasted (I purchased six bottles of my top wine, the Vieux Telegraphe.)
