Interesting you posted a note for this wine Jorge. Tried a 2008 Qupe Marsanne last night, and did not enjoy the wine at all. Will forever remember the wine as being the purest example of “raisin” ever tasted! The 2007 sounds a great deal better . . .

How very odd, Qupe is not known for making overripe styled wines. Is it possible the wine was cooked at some point?

Possible it might have seen some heat Greg (no visual signs), but would be surprised with a 2008 from a local market. It was a little advanced and tasted a little older, flat, initially tart, vanished very quickly, medium to full mouthfeel, no detectable flaws, just thought it was very one dimensional, a distinct raisin that overpowered all else.
