    Another really nice Nebbiolo and a fantastic value. Fantastic nose of soft cherry pie and floral notes. Sweet, round, full red fruits that are well balanced out by the acidity and tannins. The structure really carries the sweetness of the fruit well. An earlier drinker than the Sottimano Langhe, but enjoyable non the less with room for some improvement. Picked this up for $23 and worth more in enjoyment. (89 pts.)

Tim, are you sure it was the Barberesco and not the Nebbiolo Langhe? I didn’t think the Barbaresco had been released yet?

At $23 it’s definitely the Langhe. I bought a case of the 2007 and it’s nearly gone what with drinking it up and giving bottles to friends. I plan to open one tonight with some Portuguese fish stew (which contains a few pork products as well as fish). And I opened one with turkey for Thanksgiving – I told the hostess I thought it reminded me a little of cranberries.

It is hard to find the 2007 now but I plan to pick up the 2008 soon, maybe another case.

Very happy tasting wine, lovely stuff to drink.

I don’t think the 2006 Barbaresco has been released, has it? Since the DOCG rules require two years in bottle, I don’t think the 07 Barbaresco could legally be released yet.

Definitely the LANGHE. 2005 Barbaresco is current…this one is a bargain at under $20…

…yes,and that 05 Barbaresco is simply delicious,especially on the 2nd and 3rd night…
