2007 Loring Wine Co. Pinot Noir Durell Vyd. Sonoma Coast
Popped and poured. Nose is a bit shy; some woodsy elements - maybe some wet clay or wet cement in there as well. Blackberries and slight licorice component. Shows a little heat (14.1%) at first but that subsides. Nice long finsih with some pepper and mushrooms. Very enjoyable but missing something extra - another level, another dimension.
Sitting and sipping, listening to The Grateful Dead perform Bob Weir’s “Looks Like Rain”. I give it an 89; got a good beat and enjoyable. Oh yeah, the wine gets an 89 too.
