2007 Lewelling Cabernet Sauvignon - USA, California, Napa Valley, Rutherford (7/9/2011)
Opaque maroon. Powerful nose showing black currant and plum along with some oaky aromatics. Huge, full bodied Cabernet. A massive swath of black fruit along with tobacco and leather flavors dominate the mid palate. High concentration and intensity here along with a firm tannic backbone. This became much more enjoyable to drink when the ribeyes hit the plate as the acid in the wine became a bit more apparent and some red fruit showed itself. Long, intense finish.

I couldn’t figure out why your note wasn’t posted to where my wine is on CT. Drove me crazy for a minute until I realized that this wine is duplicated on CT.
I know this happens. Thanks for the note.
Are there separate Rutherford and St. Helena bottlings?
The majority on CT are St Helena. I’m going to check my bottles.
My 07’s say St Helena on the label.
There are half a dozen people who claim to have BOTH the ST HELENA and RUTHERFORD 2007 bottlings, and several of them also list the WIGHT VINEYARD bottling. I certainly don’t see anything here to indicate there is a third bottling, but it is rare to see so many conflicts, especially when people claim these are winery purchases: Lewelling Vineyards | Trade
There are only two bottlings - the “regular” and the Wight. Not sure what the issue is, but it should be easily fixed.
Anthony, What does your bottle say?
The issue is that people have entered conflicting purchases. So yes, I can click a button and hose them without a second thought. Or I can slowly, deliberately and carefully email them first to help confirm their holdings before smashing it all together.
Looks like my other bottles are St Helena. This one is in a recycling container down in the Columbia Gorge, but they should all be the same. My apologies, I didn’t notice the duplicate of this “regular” bottling. I was under the impression that there was only the regular and the Wight as well. I just tried to edit the note in ct, but can’t do it from my phone, and my laptop is packed as we just pulled back into town. Eric- can you move my note to the St Helena bottling? If not, I’ll correct it tomorrow.
Sorry to everyone for creating confusion.
Moved.
I likely will end up merging everything together once I help users to tease out their holdings.
Mine are all listed under the St. Helena.
I can assure you they are all from St. Helena.
