Gotta give credit where credit is due. This is some of the best Pinot I’ve had from the Russian River Valley.

    George Wine Company is one of my favorite Pinot Noir producers. George produces small lots of Pinot Noir from selected Russian River Valley vineyards in a style that represents a hybrid of old world Burgundy combined with the more bold California style. This Leras Family Vineyard bottling shows wonderful cola and spice notes with mix of black cherry on the nose followed by a smooth and ripe, yet elegantly textured flavor of lush dark fruits and a fantastic smooth finish. My favorite of the George Pinots so far and this is some of the best Pinot Noir I have had from the Russian River Valley. (94 pts.)
