2007 E. Guigal Gigondas - France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Gigondas (12/27/2015)
Pop and pour. Still miles to go before it is ready but after it took on some air - maybe 30 minutes, it was beginning to open up. This is 65% Grenache, 25% Mourvedre and 10% Syrah. The taste indicated more Syrah in the blend to me because there was more spice that fruit, with a meatyness that probably came from the Mourvedre. Quite a nice, sold well-made wine with some complexity. I suspect it needs a two hour decant or perhaps anothe 5 years of age to really blossom. (89 pts.)
