2007 Do Ferreiro Albariño Rías Baixas Cepas Vellas - Spain, Galicia, Rías Baixas (6/14/2009)
Medium straw in color, possessing aromas and flavors of white peaches, some citrus and minerals. Even though this is Albariño, it reminds me somewhat of a good Austrian white in texture and roundness, beyond what I expected in a typical Albariño. There definitely an old-vine intensity to these 200-year old vines, but it has that good “intensity without weight” component to it. A delicious drink. (91 pts.)
