2007 Carlisle Zinfandel Sonoma County - USA, California, Sonoma County (6/13/2009)
Dark garnet, not quite opaque, on the nose there is a hint of dark berry compote, palate is beautiful dark zinberry fruit, some violet, spice, garrique, just a hint of sur maturite on the finish. Excellent balance, drinking perfectly. Really nice Zin, I’d say this wine is pretty much ready to go, though should be great for several years at least. (91 pts.)

Thanks for the note. I had this last night, too (and the night before). This wine never seems to last long, either in my collection or once it’s opened.
