I decided to double decant about 30 minutes prior to taking it to LBV since it seemed really tight upon opening. I think that helped flesh it out a bit. Medium crimson color. Pretty floral nose. Very youthfully primary and precocious at this stage. Shows great purity and class. Lacey texture. Mostly cherry / red raspberry, spice and minerally at this point. I’m not opening another one for at least 3yrs. Delicious now but needs time to reveal more complexity and depth. Blind, this could be mistaken for young Mugnier Musigny. I had 4 btls and was courious. If you have less than 4 btls, please wait! (93 pts.)

Lovely, isn’t it? It does indeed have a Burgundian feel about it. Frankly, I doubt whether three years will do the trick, but I will gladly read your impressions by that time!

The bottle of '07 I had was relatively closed down and not showing much, though I expect it to blossom at some point…As odd as it seems, the '06 (which you would expect might be more structured, dense and closed down) was showing more recently (primary but very expressive).
