TN: 2007 Alesia Sonoma Coast Pinot

Last night was a celebration for Alan G’s 60th. Some nice wines. 2003 Pegau CNP out of magnum. 2001 G Mascarello Monprivato. Several Alesia’s and 05 Arcadian Dierberg.
The best wine of the night was the following.

2007 Alesia Sonoma Coast Pinot

This one really flew aromatically out of the glass with dense aromas of perfectly ripe California pinot. Hints of forest floor. Beautiful. The palate is gorgeously balanced with fruit and structure. The acidity is not like Burgundy but adequate the finish goes on and on for an appellation wine. This is fabulous and really drinking well. A superb effort. Bravo.

Happy Birthday Alan!
