TN: 2006 Williams Selyem Pinot Noir Flax Vineyard

I’ve always liked Flax Vineyard Pinots. But this one has really fleshed out and become something special. A real joy to drink!

    14.2% alcohol. This is stunning. Pretty red cherry color. Sumptuous nose of red cherry, black cherry, baking spice, flowers, and a touch of mushroom. In the mouth, this has put on weight over the years, showing rich and velvety, almost sappy, with precise, delicious cherry fruit and buttressed by superb complexity. Still a modest amount of acidity leads to a long, smooth finish. This has aged incredibly well and is drinking about perfectly right now. Only reason to hold would be for added secondary characteristics, which are starting to creep in. A
