    This wine was tight on opening but really opened up beautifully. Ripe of course with loads of spice, rich fruit, great mouth feel. Medium long finish. Pretty darn yummy and went well with the grass fed sirloin. (91 pts.)

Ok - I cant take all the credit- I was just the slave labor for the vtg working with Jacques Tardy. But I can assure you that the grapes were sorted, punched down, and barreled (mostly in the rain) by yours truly!

Keep up the good work! So what do you think of the 07s? We just received our latest club shipment including an 07 Hawk’s View and the new black label Oregon. The 06 Oregon black label turned my SO on to Pinot. Now her tastes have gotten more expensive! [thumbs-up.gif]

Sorry Chris - I only spent the 2006 crush there, before heading down to Muratie Estate in Stellenbosch… I figured before entering the MW program I should have at least some practical experience with wine making. It was a stint away from what I really do - which is manage private collections.

My parents recently visited the winery and spent a day with Jacques. They returned a few cases of 06/07s - I have no complaints so far!
